Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is this week from May 4th-8th. I encourage you and/or your student to make a teacher or teachers feel special this week. Thank you already to many of you who have already went above and beyond in celebrating our teachers and staff! We are truly blessed with the BEST teachers here at EMS and throughout ECSC!

Celebrating the 2025-2026 School Year

What an enjoyable school year the 2025-2026 school year has been! I would like to take a moment to thank each family for their support of our school and staff this year. This is my 15th year as an educator, and I can easily say this has been one of the more positive and memorable years I have experienced, which is a credit to the students, parents, and families that make up the EMS family. I speak for our entire staff in thanking you for choosing Eastbrook Middle School for your student!

As we wrap up the school year, we ask for your continued support in keeping students on track and motivated with the warmer weather and additional sunshine we are receiving each evening. Students thrive on routine, so we appreciate your assistance and attention to this matter.

Final Exams will take place from Tuesday, 5/26, through Thursday, 5/28. Our schedule will alter slightly on these days, so please be mindful in scheduling appointments during finals and communicate with the front office if your student will need to be out to ensure they complete their finals in a timely manner. Students who have not completed final exams may not be permitted to attend field trips taking place on the afternoon of Thursday, 5/28.

Speaking of field trips, sixth grade students will take a field trip to go miniature golfing, seventh grade students will take a field trip to go roller skating, and eighth grade will take a field trip to go bowling on the afternoon of 5/28. Please remind your students that all school rules apply through the end of the school day on 5/28. We look forward to students enjoying these memorable experiences with their peers and teachers to wrap up what has been a great school year!

2026-2027 Registration is OPEN

Registration is OPEN
Parents/Guardians,

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open.  Every student must register for the 2026-2027 school year by May 9th.  A completed registration ensures that all student information is up to date. This registration also provides important information to our transportation department and our offices as they plan for the next school year.

If you are new to Eastbrook, please visit the link below to complete a new student registration form.

EMS Physical Night

SAVE THE DATE!!!!

The Eastbrook Athletic Department will once again be hosting a Physical Night!  This is an opportunity for any Eastbrook students, grades 5-11, to obtain a free sports physical for the 2026-2027 school year. Our turnout over the last few years has been outstanding, and we expect an even better turnout this year.

In cooperation with Marion Health, the Eastbrook Athletic Department will offer these physicals at no cost to you! The Eastbrook Physical Night will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 5:30 pm-8 pm at Eastbrook High School. Those attending the event will need to enter the building around back through door #8. Parents and Students will not only have the opportunity to obtain the required physical, but also to complete other paperwork through FinalForms. Please have your portion of the physical form completed before arriving at the Physical Night to help the event run more efficiently. Marion Health will bring 9 providers on the day of Physical Night, and there are no MS or HS events on this date. Attached below is a copy of the IHSAA athletic physical form.

Please follow this link https://eastbrook-in.finalforms.com/ to create or log in to your Final Forms account (if you have not done so already) and complete the athletic paperwork needed for the 2026-2027 school year. When you log in to FinalForms under your parent account, you'll see a blue button at the top labeled "Click to switch to 2026-27 Registration." You will need to click this button to fill out information for the 26-27 school year. You can then switch back to the 25-26 school year if needed by clicking the yellow box at the top that says "click here if you would like to return to the current school year." Please remember to select any sport you think your student might be interested in. If no sport is selected before signing the forms, you will have to sign again after selecting a sport. Even if your student athlete decides not to participate in any sport, it is easier to take a student out than it is to add them in!

If your student is unsure whether they will participate in an athletic sport for the 26-27 school year, please attend Physical Night anyway; it is free for students. Also, students/parents, if your student is unsure of participation, please create a Final Forms account anyway. This makes it easier for students, coaches, and the athletic department if the student decides to participate.

A friendly reminder that all incoming students participating in Eastbrook Athletics (grades 6-12, currently 5-11) must have an updated athletic physical (dated after April 1, 2026) and complete all Final Forms paperwork prior to participating in athletics. We are excited to have you attend this event and look forward to another fantastic year of Eastbrook Athletics. GO PANTHERS!!

Save the Date - EMS Awards Day

EMS Awards Day
Our EMS Awards Day will be Tuesday, May 26th, at 9:30 a.m. in the EHS Auditorium. We will recognize students named the most outstanding in each subject area, students who earned all year high honor roll, students who earned academic excellence for the 2025 calendar year, our Spelling Bee champions and runner-ups, student council members, and 8th grade student athletes who participated in nine seasons of athletics throughout their years at EMS.

Only select students will be recognized - and seating is limited - but we wanted to communicate ahead of time for those families that may need to prioritize this date on their calendar. We anticipate notifying families of students who will be recognized no later than Friday, May 8th.

This is one of our favorite days of the year, as we celebrate the excellence throughout our school building! Please reach out to Mr. Lunsford with questions.
