7th Grade Schedule Update

We have only made one update to our course offerings for this upcoming school year. All 7th grade students will now take one semester of health, which is partnered with one semester of art. Mrs. Brown will instruct all 7th grade health classes and Mrs. Pinkerton will instruct all 7th grade art classes. This update does not change any elective offerings within our seventh grade student schedules. Please reach out to Mrs. Richards or Mr. Lunsford with any questions.

EMS Priority - Keeping Students Safe

In all things that we will do this year at Eastbrook Middle School, student safety is always the top priority. For car riders, this best practice means being dropped off on the curb as shown in the yellow line in the image below.

You may notice a few new physical barriers limiting traffic flow as you approach Door 6 from the first two rows of parking spots. Please allow for additional time and be patient the first few days.

Please note that all students at EMS will need to exit the building at Door 6 if they are a car rider or Doors 2 and 3 if they are a bus rider.

Parking outside of Doors 4 and 5 is utilized for life skill students. Avoid parking on the south side of the building (bottom of the image below) unless you are picking up a student in our life skills program.

Thank you for your assistance in keeping our students safe.

Annual Limited Background Checks

Do you plan on attending a field trip this year?

Career Day? Spelling Bee? Awards Program?

If you plan on being in our building during the school day, you will need to complete an updated limited background check.

Please also share this link with other family members (spouse, parents, grandparents, etc.) who will also need to complete this item to be around students during the school day.

Click on the link below and select "No" to get started. This should only take 2-3 minutes to complete.

Thanks!

Locker Practice Opportunity for 6th Grade and New Students

Each Wednesday in August (12th, 19th, and 26th), we will open the building from 3:15 to 4:00 p.m. for any new student needing additional practice with their locker and/or walking their schedule. Students attending will need to sign in and out of the office AND be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Teachers are only contracted until 3:20 p.m daily, so we do ask that you use this time as intended and do not interrupt any teachers who may still be working or looking to leave for the day. You are welcome to stop by the office on these days and ask for an administrator if you have questions or need assistance.

We look forward to supporting any of our students who may need additional time and practice becoming acclimated to EMS! Reach out to Mr. Lunsford with questions.
